About the assault of Jane Doe while she was a 20-year-old student at Cornell, with details from @stanzipotenza, that was carried out by members of the Chi Phi fraternity and enabled by the 50 other members in the group chat who received communication about “free p***y upstairs” and active updates about the assault, and did nothing. Cornell University is named in a lawsuit filed in the Manhattan Supreme Court for claiming to protect the student, as Ms Doe claims that five of the seven men involved were permitted to mitigate their conduct by submitting essays to the administration. An essay. Whilst the University has no issues expelling and banning students protesting the genocide in Gaza.

After Cornell University’s statement about a task force, an article in The Cornell Daily Sun titled “EDITORIAL | Cornell Won’t, We Will” challenges Cornell University’s actions and says they are and were not enough. The October 2025 “Cornell Survey of Sexual Assault and Related Misconduct: Overview of Survey Results” outlines:

  • An increase in experiences of sexual and gender-based harassment – 49% in 2025 vs 45% in the 2023 and 2021 surveys
  • 53% of graduate women reported having to tolerate harassing behavior or that its severity interfered with their participation in Cornell programs
  • 17% of respondents reported experiencing stalking since entering Cornell
  • 19% of respondents experienced a form of dating or domestic violence, the most prevalent being verbal abuse at 14%
Undergraduate women were more likely than other groups to experience domestic or dating violence (25% reported this).
    • 15% of students experienced nonconsensual sexual contact involving force or incapacitation
Of that 15%, 35% were undergraduate women, 8% undergraduate men, and 11% TGQN (transgender, gender non-conforming, questioning, or non-binary individuals). With a note that reported rates declined among graduate and professional women and undergraduate men since the 2023 survey was conducted, and reported rates amongst TGQN students has continued to decline from the 2021 and 2023 surveys.
  • Of the incidents of nonconsensual sexual contact (NSC), 32% involved victim incapacitation, 23% included the use of threat or physical force, 7% involved coercion, and 69% involved the absence of affirmative consent
  • Women who experienced NSC “almost universally identified the perpetrator(s) as male”. 82% of undergraduate men reported that the perpetrator(s) were female
  • Of the incidents of NSC, 14% identified the offender as a friend and 22% identified the offender as an acquaintance
  • 33% of survey respondents understood how to file a formal complaint of sexual assault
  • 31% of respondents were familiar with the process that follows a complaint being filed

Cornell, like every other university and our society that is hell-bent on protecting, aiding, and abetting offenders, has a lot of work to do.

While some might argue “boys will be boys” or “a mistake in college shouldn’t impact a man’s future career potential”, this particular and too many other Jane and John Does have their entire lives uprooted, long-term mental health battles, impacts on their academic careers, social fallout, and so much more as a result of sexual violence.

No perpetrator should have rest while survivors suffer.

A note on Ketamine

  • Makes the user feel disconnected and not in control.
  • Makes users feel detached from their pain and environment.
