Ame Candle Co. – Black and female owned candle shop
Aarti’s Organic Skincare – Woman of color founded Ayurvedic skincare line. Check out this interview with the founder!
Beyond Buckskin – Female, Turtle Mountain Chippewa shop owner. Sells wares from over 40 Native American and First Nation fashion designers and artists.
H West Design and Tailoring – Female owned shop. Artists, maker of masks, and fashion designer (who uses upcycled fabrics).
Soul Holistic Health – Woman owned holistic healer who sells teas and natural remedies.
VienneMilano – Female owned luxury hosiery brand.
Wrap Life – Black owned business that sells head wraps, turbanettes, and more.
Earth Conscious Shopping
These brands might not be as small, but they have a commitment to providing products that produce less waste after you’re done using your go to items:
Package Free Shop – marketplace for commonly used household goods, you’re one stop shop for low-package, package-free products.
Dental lace – refillable dental floss
Georganics – toothpaste powders and tablets packaged in glass bottles (that you can reuse)
Unwrapped life –
Modibodi – Reusable period underwear and other leakproof garments — for perspiration, pee, and pregnancy — for all genders. They also sell baby, maternity, and postpartum items (including breastfeeding tops).
(Pro tip: They also have waterproof bags which are great for storing used period undies or reusable pads when you’re on the go.)
