It seems you can make anything political
the way they politic around our bodies
to win their elections and wars
their calls for our rights,
just an extension of their exploitation.
Too often,
the ones who shout the loudest
are those with the most to gain.
It’s all personal,
it was never about the rights of women or children
it was all in getting the angle right,
how in the war of wokeness
can we hoodwink the most souls into joining us
if we beat our chests for their cause.
They forget,
that some of us do read
we know our history
we are the sons and daughters of those past that you had used into oblivion
our bones can see the truth behind your lies.
