Working Girl #1

Told to make a decision but,
once I made a decision and am ready to move along to the next thing,
everyone wants to be a critic.

I detest fake freedom.

I want to soar.
Free of constraints, free of your ego, free of petty plights.

Sadly, I understand a leader’s abhorrence to a democratic society. It’s so exhausting to weigh the thoughts and opinions of so many. Which is exactly why democracy is so important. To slow the process of rapid change so that the end result might be most fair;

conscious of the thoughts, feelings, and cares of others,

and multi-focused. Not just a means to someone’s selfish end game.

Democracy is slow and it does not go well with a world that is becoming more and more fine-tuned to an instant gratification mindset.

But maybe that’s good.

The good and steady council of old will tame the wild child needs to get exactly what is desired instantaneously.

We may not always get our way, but maybe that is good. Though our ego flares in rage when things go contrary to the way that we believe that they should, maybe the fact that we didn’t see it coming is because we were so caught up in the “I” that we did not see the “other”, the “everyone else”. Those that we wish to bury in the sand because we did not see eye to eye. But instead of burying the things that we do not like, maybe we should invite them – it, the “other” – to the table to dine so we can see one another for what we truly are:

Human(imals).
