It is comforting to know that while:
- Gays and lesbians cannot be accepted for openly and honestly loving who they choose to love
- People are rejected or excluded for their religious beliefs
- Black, Latinx/as/os and Native Americans are discriminated against for their ethnic identity
- Women are not forgiven when their exercise their human right to do as they please with their bodies
- Syrians and other refugees are pushed aside because they were unfortunate enough to live in a war-torn or environmentally devastated local
- Assault survivors are taken less seriously if they had been drinking
- Hundreds, thousands and hundreds of thousands of people are barred from making the choice to control how, when and how many offspring they can reasonably and humanely take care of.
We can still forgive and reward an alleged rapist/someone accused of assault. Got to love consistency.
